Turn long videos into shorts.

Turn podcasts, classes and talks into shorts. Find complete ideas, review captions and export the moments you choose.

Upload your recording

Choose a moment that can stand on its own.

AIClipPilot suggests excerpts from the speech in your recording. Use the source context to decide which candidates deserve a shorter cut.

Podcasts and interviews

One question. One useful answer.

Look for a specific opinion, personal story or practical answer. Keep the question when the answer would otherwise be unclear.

Check pronouns and references: a clip that starts with “that is why” may need an earlier opening.

Classes and tutorials

One explanation, with its example.

Choose a concept that can be understood without the rest of the lesson. Keep the definition and the example together.

Read any slide, code or diagram in the output preview. Full-frame composition can preserve material that a close crop would remove.

Talks and recorded webinars

One takeaway, with enough context.

Find a clear recommendation or an audience question. Include the conditions that make the speaker’s advice useful.

Keep qualifications and caveats. A shorter edit should preserve the meaning of the original statement.

See a recording become a short.

Compare the source context with a shorter, captioned cut. Play either video to hear what stays in the edit.

Review the vertical cut before you export.

A good excerpt still needs to work on a small screen. Watch the full preview once for meaning, then again for picture and captions.

Check the 9:16 composition

Choose the output ratio before processing. Make sure faces, demonstrations and important slide text remain visible. Full-frame output preserves the source image; paid smart framing offers another composition option.

Read the captions aloud

Compare the subtitles with the audio, especially names, numbers and technical terms. Creator and Pro support timing and subtitle edits, followed by a new preview render.

Long video to shorts: common questions.

Can I turn a YouTube video into shorts?

Upload a local copy of your original recording, or another video you have permission to process. AIClipPilot does not import or download YouTube, Drive or other video links. You can export clips and upload them to your Shorts channel yourself.

Does it choose every clip automatically?

AI suggests candidate excerpts from the transcript. Review the source context, opening and ending before choosing what to export. Clear speech helps, but selection and captions can still contain errors.

Can I change the clip after reviewing it?

Creator and Pro include changes to clip timing, titles and subtitles, as well as manual clip creation. Render and review the updated preview before downloading. Editing does not make an expired project available again.

How long can my source video be?

The source must fit the current per-file limit of 500 MB, and its processing must fit your plan and available allowance. Paid usage is based on input duration rounded up to a whole minute per video. Check the pricing page for plan allowances.

Will my clips be saved or published automatically?

AIClipPilot provides temporary processing space and downloadable files. Projects are normally cleaned up about one hour after the last run ends; active processing extends that period and faults may delay cleanup. Keep your originals and download your clips promptly. Publishing to social accounts is your choice and is not automatic.
